Scientists Present Moon Rotation in Full Lunar Glory - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

It's a 360 degree view of the moon stitched together from 110,000 still images taken by a camera on board NASA's Lunar Reconnaisance Orbiter. The images were taken over a full lunar month, as the moon completed its slow rotation. From Earth's perspective, the moon rotates too slowly to reveal any more than one of its sides during the night. But the lunar mosaic reveals that the dark side of the moon isn't so dark after all.
