Rodent Fur Discovered in Mexican-Made Batch of Heinz Ketchup - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Brazil’s health agency says a trace of rodent fur was detected in a batch of Heinz ketchup. The batch in question was made in Mexico, then sold and distributed in Brazil. Brazilian authorities have removed the batch from circulation, and Mexican authorities are inspecting the factory it came from. Here in the U.S., the Food and Drug Administration allows a certain level of non-hazardous, natural, unavoidable defects in our food, but rodent fur would not fall under that category.
