Panera Bread Rises Above Expectations But Shares Are Slipping On Lowered Guidance - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Fast-casual food chain Panera Bread posted a mixed bag of first quarter earnings results Tuesday evening, reporting profit and revenue that beat Street expectations but offering a lowered 2014 forecast that sent its shares for a downward slide in Tuesday’s after-hours trading session. Panera reported $605 million in first quarter revenue, a figure that beats the $600.7 million analyst consensus and marks an 8% increase over the $561.8 million reported for the same period in 2013.
