Oil Spill from Sunken Philippine Ferry Threatens Villages - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

An oil spill from a sunken ferry in the Philippines reaches nearby coastal villages, threatening the livelihoods of residents. At least 52 people died when the ferry sank on Friday just outside the central port of Cebu following a collision with a cargo vessel. The oil spill has now reached Cordova town, some 3 kilometres from the impact site, affecting around 3,000 hectares of its coastal areas.
