New Study Questions Effectiveness Of Mammograms - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

The Canadian study, published Tuesday in The British Medical Journal, claimed that yearly mammograms for women 40 to 59-years-old do not reduce cancer deaths. A doctor from the California Hospital Medical Center disagreed with the study. I believe the ability to treat cancers at their earliest possible stage is made possible by the use of mammograms, said Dr. Dennis Holmes.
