Man Breaks Back On Glacier, Walks 3 Miles for Help - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

A Los Angeles man was recovering Friday after surviving an incredible ordeal while climbing in Glacier National Park during a family vacation in Montana. Ted Porter hiked along with family members for about a week before deciding to head out on his own. During a climb to Jackson Glacier, the 36-year-old slipped and fell 40 feet into a crevasse. Despite a crushed vertebrae, Porter managed to grab his climbing gear from his backpack and dug his way out.
