Levi Strauss To Eliminate 800 Jobs To Cut Costs - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Levi Strauss & Co. on Wednesday unveiled a cost-savings plan that includes cutting nearly 20% of the jeans maker's non-retail and non-manufacturing employee positions. The program -- expected to roll out in phases over the next 12 to 18 months, and to result in cost savings of $175 million to $200 million—is aimed, Levi said, at streamlining the company's operations and boosting long-term profitable growth.
