Killer At Center Of Early Release Debate Gets 53 Years In Prison - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

A man at the center of a debate over a state program that allows inmates to earn credit toward early release was sentenced to 53 years in prison Friday for killing a 70-year-old man in a convenience store robbery. Frankie Resto was released from prison in April 2012. In June, he shot and killed Ibrahim Ghazal. Resto was released after earning 199 days of early-release credits while serving a sentence for two armed robberies.
