The crash of Asiana Airlines flight 214 is the third fatal crash in the airline's 25-year history. Asiana is South Korea's second-largest airline, with a market cap of around $776 million. The company is part of Kumho Asiana Group, whose other interests include chemicals and insurance. Asiana President and CEO Yoon Young-doo took over the company after 13 years at tire maker Kumho Tires. Asiana's Seoul-listed shares plunged on the first day of trading after the San Francisco crash.
