Iconic Sandy Roller Coaster Torn Down - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

The towering frame of "the Jet Star" roller coaster, washed out to sea by Superstorm Sandy got dismantled and removed more than six months later on Tuesday (May 14). Crews began tearing down the Jet Star and other amusement park rides submerged in the Atlantic Ocean, nearby the boardwalk of the beach community of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The cleanup was expected to take about 48 hours according to Casino Pier, which owns the rides.
