Hungary Cuts Key Rate Again - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Hungary cut its main monetary policy rate to a record low on Tuesday, in an effort to buoy recovery in an election year, despite the sharp weakening of its currency and the recent turmoil in emerging markets that has heightened the risk of capital outflow. Taking advantage of inflation at four-decade lows, the National Bank of Hungary cut its policy rate to 2.7%, from 2.85%.
