U.S. stocks opened flat Tuesday despite better-than-expected earnings from investment bank Goldman Sachs.  Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS) said its second-quarter profit doubled, as the investment bank saw revenues climb 30 percent, while The Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE: KO) reported its profit fell in the latest quarter, as the world's largest beverage maker blamed bad weather and challenging economic conditions for weak volume growth.
