Gold Ends Near Steady But Up From Early Low, Lifted By Weak U.S. Data - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Gold prices ended the U.S. day session near unchanged Wednesday, but well up from the daily low. Some downbeat U.S. economic data gave the gold market a lift from the lower levels seen in overnight trading. The first quarter U.S. gross domestic product report was released Wednesday morning and showed a drop of 2.9%, which was the largest quarterly decline in years. This news falls into the camp of the U.S.
