Floodwaters Damage Northeast China - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Floods trigged by days of heavy rains have killed 37 people northeast China, state media reported on Sunday (August 18). It said facilities and farmlands had also been damaged. The floods on Friday destroyed homes, crops, roads and railways and felled power lines. In Heilongjiang province, economic losses were around 7.13 billion yuan ($1.15 billion ), state-run Xinhua news agency reported, adding that over 2,500 houses were destroyed.
