Firefighters rescued a number of cats and kittens after a fire ripped through a home in Lancaster late Tuesday. The fire broke out at a residence around 11:30 p.m. More than two dozen Los Angeles County firefighters were able to knock down the flames in about 30 minutes, but video showed there was extensive damage to the home. “The house is not livable,” L.A County Fire Department Capt. Scott Polgar said. About 15 to 20 cats and kittens lived at the home, firefighters said.
