Daily Digit: EU's Auto Emissions Target - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

95 grams is today's daily digit in Europe - the new limit per kilometre on carbon dioxide emissions for all new EU automobiles. The proposed target must be met by 2020. Germany had tried to block the change to ensure its luxury car makers could carry on producing more powerful vehicles. But Ireland, which currently holds the EU presidency and brokered the deal, said 95 grams struck the right balance between environmental and economic considerations.
