Richard Nares hit the ground running on Sunday in Los Angeles as part of his quest to jog hundreds miles through California in honor of his late son. Nares, executive director and co-founder of the Emilio Nares Foundation (ENF), hoped to run 700 miles in 30 days, from San Francisco to San Diego. His goal was to raise money for the foundation that bears the name of his 5-year-old son Emilio, who died from complications of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2000.
