Traffic flowing freely on Monday morning in Ramses square, a major transportation hub in the Egyptian capital. Ramses bore witness to angry scenes on Monday night, as supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi attempted to close the intersection. Egyptian police intervened after scuffles broke out, with locals angered by Morsi supporters trying to block major roads crossing the River Nile. Things quickly turned violent, with Morsi supporters trading missiles with police.
