Assad: No Date Set Yet For Peace Conference - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad says no date has been set for an international conference on ending his country's civil war. In an interview with Lebanese channel Al Mayadeen TV he said a date has "not been officially set," for the so-called Geneva 2 talks. With Western and Arab countries hoping the talks could start a political transition that would see him leave office, Assad says he has no plans to quit, saying he might run for re-election in 2014.
