Alitalia Struggles to Raise Emergency Cash - Presented by: The Aol. On Network

Alitalia wanted to raise 300 million euros in an emergency cash call to shareholders to keep it flying. By its deadline it revealed it had only received 173 million. The biggest setback to its plans: Air France-KLM - which holds a 25 percent stake in the Italian airline - refused to take part. They say Alitalia's new business plan and its severe cost cuts just isn't strong enough to save it. For Robert Cole of Reuters Breakingviews, the shortfall wasn't unexpected.
