Corporate history and address. Yadkin Valley Financial Corporation (the “Company” or “Yadkin”) is a bank holding company incorporated under the laws of North Carolina to serve as the holding company for Yadkin Valley Bank and Trust Company (the “Bank”), a North Carolina chartered commercial bank with its deposits insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (“FDIC”) up to applicable limits. The Bank is not a member of the Federal Reserve. The Bank began operations in 1968. Effective July 1, 2006, the Bank was reorganized and the Bank became the Company’s wholly owned subsidiary. On July 31, 2002, the Bank acquired Main Street BankShares, Inc. and its subsidiary, Piedmont Bank, of Statesville, North Carolina and continues to operate the former Piedmont Bank offices in Iredell and Mecklenburg counties in North Carolina under the assumed name “Piedmont Bank, a division of Yadkin Valley Bank and Trust Company. ...
