UMB Financial Corporation (the Company) was organized as a corporation in 1967 under Missouri law for the purpose of becoming a bank holding company registered under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956 (BHCA). In 2001, the Company elected to become a financial holding company under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 (GLB Act). The Company owns all of the outstanding stock of one commercial bank and 21 other subsidiaries. The commercial bank is engaged in general commercial banking business. The subsidiary bank, UMB Bank, n.a. (the Bank), whose principal office is in Missouri, also has branches in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska and Oklahoma.
