Company Description (as filed with the SEC)
Our legal and commercial name is Trina Solar Limited. Our predecessor company, Trina China, was incorporated in December 1997. In anticipation of our initial public offering, we incorporated Trina in the Cayman Islands as a listing vehicle on March 14, 2006. Trina acquired all of the equity interests in Trina China through a series of transactions that have been accounted for as a recapitalization and Trina China became our wholly-owned subsidiary. In the past, we conducted substantially all of our operations (and we continue to conduct a significant part of our operations) through Trina China. In December 2006, we completed our initial public offering of our ADSs and listed our ADSs on the New York Stock Exchange.
