The PowerShares Value Line Timeliness Select Portfolio ("the Fund") seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the Fund's fees and expenses) of an equity index called the Value Line Timeliness Select Index (the "Underlying Index"). The Underlying Index represents the 50 highest ranking common stocks for timeliness and safety based on a proprietary investment methodology using the three core Value Line, Inc. investment merit indicators: Timeliness, Safety and Technical Rankings. Timeliness Ranking System is the rank of a stock's potential relative market performance in the year ahead. Safety Ranking System is a measurement of potential risk associated with individual common stocks. Technical Ranking System attempts to predict short-term price movements of stocks in the next three to six months. The Fund will normally invest at least 80% of its total assets in common stocks of companies that have the potential to outperform the U.S. equity market.
