Description

ProShares Short Financials (the "Fund") seeks investment results that correspond to the inverse (opposite) return of the Dow Jones U.S. Financials Index. The Index measures the performance of the financial services industry of the U.S. equity market. Component companies include regional banks; major U.S. domiciled international banks; full line, life and property and casualty insurance companies; companies that invest, directly or indirectly in real estate; diversified financial companies such as Fannie Mae, credit card issuers, check cashing companies, mortgage lenders and investment advisors; securities brokers and dealers including investment banks, merchant banks and online brokers; and publicly traded stock exchanges. The Index is concentrated in the banks and general financial industry groups, which comprised approximately 38% and 30%, respectively, or the market capitalization of the Index.
