Silver Bay Realty Trust Corp. is an externally-managed Maryland corporation focused on the acquisition, renovation, leasing and management of single-family properties in selected markets in the United States. Our principal financial objective is to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our stockholders over the long term, primarily through dividends and secondarily through capital appreciation. We generate virtually all of our revenue by leasing our portfolio of single-family properties. We currently own single-family properties in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio and Texas. We view our target markets as desirable because we believe they have an oversupply of properties that can be acquired at attractive prices, favorable demographics and long-term economic trends and healthy demand for rental properties.  ...
