Description

The UBS E-TRACS CMCI Long Platinum Total Return ETN seeks investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to the UBS Bloomberg CMCI Platinum Total Return Index. The Index is a member of the UBS Bloomberg Constant Maturity Commodity Index ("CMCI") family and measures the collateralized returns from platinum futures contracts. It is designed to be representative of the entire liquid forward curve of platinum contracts. The Index, which is rebalanced monthly, is comprised of the platinum futures contracts eligible for inclusion in the CMCI with a single target maturity of three months. The overall return on the Index is generated by two components: (i) uncollateralized returns on the platinum futures contracts comprising the Index and (ii) a daily fixed-income return, which reflects the interest earned on a hypothetical 91-day Treasury Bill portfolio theoretically deposited as margin for hypothetical positions in the futures contracts comprising the Index.
