Park Sterling Corporation (the "Company") was formed in 2010 to serve as the holding company for Park Sterling Bank (the "Bank") pursuant to a bank holding company reorganization effective January 1, 2011, and is registered with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System (the "Federal Reserve Board") under the Bank Holding Company Act of 1956, as amended (the "BHC Act"). The Bank is a North Carolina-chartered commercial nonmember bank that was incorporated in September 2006 and opened for business at 1043 E. Morehead Street, Suite 201, Charlotte, North Carolina on October 25, 2006. At December 31, 2015, the Company's primary operations and business were that of owning the Bank.
