The PowerShares DWA Emerging Markets Technical Leaders Portfolio is based on the Dorsey Wright Emerging Markets Technical Leaders Index. The Underlying Index is comprised of equity securities from countries deemed to have emerging economies, selected pursuant to a proprietary selection methodology of Dorsey Wright, designed to identify companies that demonstrate powerful relative strength characteristics. Relative strength characteristics are based upon each security's market performance. This Index includes approximately 100 companies that possess powerful relative strength characteristics and are domiciled in emerging market countries including, but not limited to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Egypt, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Russia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand and Turkey. The Index excludes those companies listed on a U.S. stock exchange. The Index is reconstituted and rebalanced quarterly.
