New Jersey Resources Corporation (NJR or the Company) is a New Jersey corporation formed in 1981 pursuant to a corporate reorganization. The Company is an energy services holding company providing retail and wholesale energy services to customers in states from the Gulf Coast and Mid-Continent regions to the Appalachian and Northeast regions, the West Coast and Canada. The Company is an exempt holding company under section 1263 of the Energy Policy Act of 2005. NJR's subsidiaries and businesses include: New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG), a local natural gas distribution company that provides regulated retail natural gas service to approximately 500,100 residential and commercial customers in central and northern New Jersey and participates in the off-system sales and capacity release markets. NJNG is regulated by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) and comprises the Company's Natural Gas Distribution segment.  ... More ...
