M/I Homes, Inc. and subsidiaries (the “Company,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is one of the nation's leading builders of single-family homes. The Company was incorporated, through predecessor entities, in 1973 and commenced homebuilding activities in 1976. Since that time, the Company has delivered over 83,000 homes, including 2,765 in 2012. The Company consists of two distinct operations and reporting segments: homebuilding and financial services. Our homebuilding operations, for reporting purposes, are divided into three reporting segments - the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions. Our financial services operations support our homebuilding operations by providing mortgage loans and title services to the customers of our homebuilding operations. Our homebuilding operations comprise the most substantial portion of our business, representing 97% of consolidated revenue during both 2012 and 2011.  ... More ...
