M/I Homes, Inc. and subsidiaries (the “Company,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is one of the nation's leading builders of single-family homes. The Company was incorporated, through predecessor entities, in 1973 and commenced homebuilding activities in 1976. Since that time, the Company has delivered over 87,000 homes, including 3,472 in 2013. The Company consists of two distinct operations: homebuilding and financial services. Our homebuilding operations are divided for reporting purposes into three reporting segments - the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Southern regions. Our financial services operations support our homebuilding operations by providing mortgage loans and title services to the customers of our homebuilding operations and is reported as its own segment. Our homebuilding operations comprise the most substantial portion of our business, representing 97% of consolidated revenue in both 2013 and 2012.  ... More ...
