In December 2009 we changed our name from Hallador Petroleum Company to Hallador Energy Company. We are a Colorado corporation organized by our predecessor in 1949. 70% of our stock is held by officers, directors and their affiliates. Our stock is thinly traded (average daily volume is 19,000 shares) on the NASDAQ Capital Market listing under the symbol HNRG. The largest portion of our business is devoted to coal mining in the state of Indiana through Sunrise Coal LLC (a wholly-owned subsidiary) serving the electric power generation industry. We also own a 45% equity interest in Savoy Energy, L.P., a private oil and gas (O&G) exploration and production (E&P) company with operations in Michigan and a 50% interest in Sunrise Energy, LLC, a private O&G E&P company with operations in Indiana.
