The Goldfield Corporation, incorporated in Wyoming in 1906 and subsequently
reincorporated in Delaware in 1968, is currently primarily engaged in electrical
construction, including the placement of fiber optic cable. Unless the context
otherwise requires, the terms “Goldfield” and the “Company,” “we,” “our” and
“us” as used herein mean The Goldfield Corporation and its consolidated
subsidiaries. The electrical construction operation serves electric utilities
and industrial companies throughout much of the United States.
On January 3, 2014, Power Corporation of America (“PCA”), a Florida corporation
and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, completed its acquisition of all
the issued and outstanding shares of stock of C and C Power Line, Inc., a
Florida corporation (“C&C”). C&C is a full service electrical contractor,
headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, with a unionized workforce. C&C has been
involved in the electrical business primarily in Florida since 1989. ... More ...
