DXP was incorporated in Texas in 1996 to be the successor to SEPCO Industries, Inc., founded in 1908. Since our predecessor company was founded, we have primarily been engaged in the business of distributing maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, equipment and service to industrial customers. The Company is organized into three business segments: Service Centers, Supply Chain Services and Innovative Pumping Solutions. Sales, Operating income, and other financial information for 2010, 2011 and 2012, and identifiable assets at the close of such years for our business segments are presented in Note 16 of the Notes to the Consolidated Financial Statements in Item 8 of this report. Our total sales have increased from $125 million in 1996 to $1.1 billion in 2012 through a combination of internal growth and business acquisitions.
