Consolidated sales in 2004 increased approximately 24% or $423 million to $2.2 billion from sales of $1.8 billion in 2003. Approximately one-half of this increase in sales was attributable to existing operations, and the balance to businesses acquired during 2004. Demand in both the home improvement and new construction sectors in the regions where our products are sold was stronger in 2004 than 2003. Over the past five years our revenues have increased at an annual compound rate of 14% through a combination of acquisitions of businesses, gains in market share and new product introductions.
