Chiquita Brands International, Inc. ("CBII") and its subsidiaries (collectively, "Chiquita," we, us or the company) operate as a leading international marketer and distributor of (1) bananas and pineapples sold under the Chiquita® and other brand names in nearly 70 countries and (2) packaged salads sold under the Fresh Express® and other brand names primarily in the United States. We produce approximately one-third of the bananas we market on farms we own and lease, and purchase the remainder of the bananas and all of the lettuce, pineapples and other fresh produce from third-party suppliers throughout the world. No individual customer accounted for more than 10% of net sales during any of the last three years.
