Chiquita Brands International, Inc. ("CBII") and its subsidiaries (collectively, "Chiquita," we, us or the company) operate as a leading international marketer and distributor of (1) bananas and other fresh produce sold under the Chiquita® and other brand names in nearly 70 countries and (2) packaged salads sold under the Fresh Express® and other brand names primarily in the United States. We produce approximately one-third of the bananas we market on farms we own, and purchase the remainder of the bananas and all of the lettuce and other fresh produce from third-party suppliers throughout the world. No individual customer accounted for more than 10% of net sales during any of the last three years.
