We are a molecular diagnostics company that develops, manufactures and markets fully-integrated systems for testing in the Clinical market, as well as for application in our legacy Non-Clinical market. Our systems enable rapid, sophisticated molecular testing for organisms and genetic-based diseases by automating otherwise complex manual laboratory procedures. Molecular testing historically has involved a number of complicated and time-intensive steps, including sample preparation, DNA amplification and detection. Our easy-to-use systems integrate these steps and analyze complex biological samples in our proprietary test cartridges. We were first to the U.S. market with a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (“CLIA”) moderate complexity categorization for an amplified molecular test and the majority of our products are moderately complex, expanding our market opportunity beyond high complexity laboratories. ...
