Company Description (as filed with the SEC)

The NAB segment (the legacy CIT components of which were previously known as North American Commercial Finance) consists of five divisions: Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, Commercial Services, Equipment Finance, and Consumer Banking. Revenue is generated from interest earned on loans, rents on equipment leased, fees and other revenue from lending and leasing activities, capital markets transactions and banking services, commissions earned on factoring and related activities, and to a lesser extent, interest and dividends on investments. Revenue is also generated from gains on asset sales. In the fourth quarter of 2015, we announced that we intend to sell our Canada portfolio. Description of Divisions Commercial Banking (previously known as Corporate Finance) provides a range of lending and deposit products, as well as ancillary services, including cash management and advisory services, to small and medium size businesses.  ...
