Cardinal Financial Corporation, a financial holding company, was formed in late 1997 as a Virginia corporation, principally in response to opportunities resulting from the consolidation of several Virginia-based banks. These bank consolidations were typically accompanied by the dissolution of local boards of directors and relocation or termination of management and customer service professionals and a general deterioration of personalized customer service. We own Cardinal Bank, (the "Bank"), a Virginia state-chartered community bank with 27 banking offices located in Northern Virginia, Maryland and the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Bank offers a wide range of traditional bank loan and deposit products and services to both our commercial and retail customers.  ... More ...
