Casey’s General Stores, Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiaries (the Company/Casey’s/we) operate convenience stores under the name “Casey’s General Store”, “HandiMart” and “Just Diesel” in nine Midwestern states, primarily Iowa, Missouri, and Illinois. The stores carry a broad selection of food (including freshly prepared foods such as pizza, donuts, and sandwiches), beverages, tobacco products, health and beauty aids, automotive products, and other nonfood items. In addition, all stores offer gasoline for sale on a self-service basis. Our fiscal year runs from May 1 through April 30 of each year. On April 30, 2010, there were a total of 1,531 Casey’s General Stores in operation. There were 18 stores newly constructed and 37 acquired stores opened in fiscal 2010.
