As used herein, the terms “we,” “us,” “our” and the “Company” refer to Boston Properties, Inc., a Delaware corporation organized in 1997, individually or together with its subsidiaries, including Boston Properties Limited Partnership, a Delaware limited partnership, and our predecessors. We are a fully integrated, self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust, or “REIT,” and one of the largest owners and developers of office properties in the United States. Our properties have been concentrated in five markets—Boston, New York, Princeton, San Francisco and Washington, DC. Beginning in fiscal 2014, Princeton will be reflected as the suburban component of the New York region. We conduct substantially all of our business through our subsidiary, Boston Properties Limited Partnership.
