Biostar Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Biostar”) is a holding company that, through our wholly-owned subsidiary Shaanxi Biostar Biotech, Ltd. (“Shaanxi Biostar”) and our variable interest entities ("VIEs") Shaanxi Aoxing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (“Aoxing Pharmaceutical”), and Shaanxi Weinan Aoxing Pharmaceuticals, LLC (“Shaanxi Weinan”) develops, manufactures and markets pharmaceutical products for a variety of diseases and conditions in the People’s Republic of China (the “PRC” or “China”). Corporate Organization and History Biostar was incorporated in the State of Maryland on March 27, 2007. Through the steps described immediately below, we became the indirect holding company for Aoxing Pharmaceutical, a medical and pharmaceutical developer, manufacturer and marketer in the PRC on November 1, 2007.
