We are a Bermudian holding company, incorporated on May 23, 2002, and conduct insurance and reinsurance business through our subsidiaries in three major jurisdictions: Aspen U.K. and AUL, corporate member of Syndicate 4711 at Lloyd’s of London (United Kingdom), Aspen Bermuda (Bermuda) and Aspen Specialty and AAIC (United States). Aspen U.K. also has branches in Paris (France), Zurich (Switzerland), Dublin (Ireland), Cologne (Germany), Singapore, Australia and Canada. We operate in the global markets for property and casualty insurance and reinsurance. For the year ended December 31, 2012, we wrote $2,583.3 million in gross premiums and at December 31, 2012, we had total capital employed, including long-term debt, of $3,987.5 million.  ...
