“ADA,” “the Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our” refer to ADA-ES, Inc., a Colorado corporation, and its consolidated subsidiaries. Business Purpose and Strategy Incorporated in Colorado in 1997, ADA develops, offers, and implements proprietary environmental technologies and provides equipment and specialty chemicals that enable coal-fueled power plants to meet emissions regulations by enhancing existing air pollution control equipment, maximizing capacity and improving operating efficiencies. ADA became a “stand-alone” public company through a “spin-off” from its parent company, Earth Sciences, Inc. in September 2003.
