Q.1: What are the system requirements to run the the NASDAQ Toolbar?
The system requirements for running the the NASDAQ Toolbar are:
  • Microsoft Windows (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000 or XP)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or greater
Q.2: When will the NASDAQ Toolbar be available for other browsers?
At this time, the NASDAQ Toolbar is only available for the Microsoft Internet Explorer. The implementation of the NASDAQ Toolbar with other browsers will be developed in the future.
Q.3: Is the the NASDAQ Toolbar available in other languages?
The NASDAQ Toolbar is available in several languages: English, French, and soon in Spanish, German, Chinese, Portuguese, Italian and Norwegian.
Q.4: Do AOL browser users can install the the NASDAQ Toolbar?
The the NASDAQ Toolbar can only be installed on Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0 or greater.

Installation

Q.1: Why do I get an Active X error message when I try to install the Toolbar?

An Active X error message is generally related to a "High" security setting in your Internet Options. A "High" security setting will prevent ActiveX controls from running. To install the NASDAQ Toolbar, you must have ActiveX controls "enabled". To do this, apply the following steps:
  • From your browser, select Tools > Internet Options
  • Click on the Security Tab
  • Click on the Internet icon in the window
  • Change security setting to Medium.
  • Click OK
  • You may click here to install the the NASDAQ Toolbar again.
Q.2: I've installed the the NASDAQ Toolbar, but it does not appear on the browser.
From your browser, click on "View > Toolbars" and select "the NASDAQ".
Q.3: I am using WindowsNT or 2000. Why is my installation of the the NASDAQ Toolbar failed?

If you're running WindowsNT or Windows 2000, check with your system administrator that you have the administrative privileges required to install applications.
Q.4: How do I know a new version of the NASDAQ Toolbar is available?
The the NASDAQ Toolbar automatically updates itself when a new version is available.

To change your toolbar preferences, such as to add/remove buttons, text descriptions on the Toolbar, etc... :
  • Click on the the NASDAQ logo to access the drop down menu.
  • Select the "Toolbar Options" menu item.
Q.2: Is it possible to change the place of the Toolbar?
It is possible to change the place of the the NASDAQ Toolbar on your browser. With your mouse, click and drag the vertical separator bar to the left of the the NASDAQ logo. While clicking and dragging, place the toolbar where you want it to be located.
