NASDAQ is reaching out to the people of South Asia, and in particular the children, who have been stricken by the disastrous Tsunami. To help in the relief and rebuilding effort for survivors, NASDAQ will donate to two charitable groups, UNICEF and the International Red Cross.
Funds set up by these organizations will be highlighted on NASDAQ Web sites -- NASDAQ Online and NASDAQ.com -- to give visibility to their relief efforts among our millions of site visitors. NASDAQ-listed companies and market participants who are setting up relief funds are invited to highlight their efforts on these Web sites as well.
If your company has a relief initiative and wishes to post information about your company fund on the NASDAQ web site, please contact Chris Shields at Chris.Shields@NASDAQ.com.
You can help the relief efforts by supporting the following non-profit organizations:
American Red Cross International Response Fund (link to https://www.redcross.org/tsunamirelief/)
UNICEF (www.unicef.org)
Our thoughts remain with the victims and the relief workers in South Asia.
