H.E. Mr. Adrian Neritani, Albanian Ambassador to the United Nations, New York, presides over the opening bell.
About Ambassador Neritani:
Prior to this assignment, Mr. Neritani has worked as a legal associate with a law firm, Cullison & Cullison, P.C., in Chicago, United States (2003-2006). In 2000-2001, also in Chicago, he was an independent adviser on immigration issues, international trade and business.
Mr. Neritani started his diplomatic career in 1991, when he was in charge of the U.S. desk at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania.
He remained with the Foreign Service until 1999, in charge of China and the Far East (1993-1997), First Secretary and Charge d'Affaires, a.i., at Albanian Embassy in Beijing, China (1997-1998). From 1989 to 1991, he was a Lecturer at "Luigi Gurakuqi" University in Shkodra, Albania.
Mr. Neritani holds a political science diploma from the University of Tirana, Albania (1989) and a law degree from the same University (1996). In 1993, he also received a Master's Degree in International Relations from the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies, University of Malta; and, in 2002, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business and Trade Law from the John Marshall School of Law in Chicago. He is a member of the New York Bar.
