Designer Jillian Lewis Rings the NASDAQ Stock Market Closing Bell
February 13, 2009 - Designer Jillian Lewis
About this Marketsite Event:

Fashion Designer Jillian Lewis presides over the Closing Bell to celebrate Fashion Week and her Fall/Winter 2009 collection.

About Jillian Lewis:

Jillian Lewis is a product of the Parsons School of Design. While there, she was honored with the CFDA scholarship award, was selected to design the Perrier girl uniform, was featured as "Parsons Design Star"
on MTV and college network and was nominated for Designer of the Year.

Having worked as a concept designer and illustrator at Rugby by Ralph Lauren and as a designer at Searle, Jillian learned the skills of the fashion trade. At Searle, she experienced the old-fashioned way of tailoring, and at Ralph Lauren she became an expert at conceptualizing a full and balanced collection. She was most recently cast on Bravo's 4th season of Project Runway. As a finalist on the show, Jillian's collection, shown at Bryant Park, was viewed by 5 million people nationwide.

Since the completion of Project Runway, Jillian teamed up with business partner Lewaa Abdulkhalek. With Jillian's vision of high-end women's wear and Lewaa's business savvy, you can expect the Jillian Lewis brand to be the household name of the future. In addition to her ready to wear line, Jillian costumed a performance at the Guggenheim museum for Works and Process and is currently a spokesperson for Brother International.
