Airline Ambassadors' President, Nancy Rivard, United Nations' Shamina de Gonzaga, Chair of the 61st Annual DPI/NGO Conference and several United Nations youth ambassadors preside over the opening bell.
They will be joined by Miss America 2008, Kirsten Haglund, who is in New York City for the first annual Airline Ambassadors Global Compassion Ball on Thursday, October 16 at the United Nations for this inaugural event.
About Airline Ambassadors:
Airline Ambassadors is a non-profit organization that provides humanitarian aid to children and families in need as well as relief and development to under-privileged communities worldwide. The organization escorts children in need, hand-delivers humanitarian aid to orphanages, clinics, and remote communities, raises public awareness and involves youth in humanitarian efforts around the world. Monies raised at The Global Compassion Ball will support the organization's humanitarian projects on five continents.
