About The New America Alliance:
The New America Alliance (NAA) is a national organization comprised of prominent business leaders united to lead the process of American Latino economic empowerment and wealth-building through economic capital, leadership development, strategic philanthropy, and public policy advocacy.
Co-founded by Henry Cisneros and Raul Yzaguirre in 1999, NAA is comprised of almost 100 prominent American Latino entrepreneurs, professionals and business leaders who are committed to giving back to the community. While committing substantial financial resources to the organization, NAA members also commit considerable time, provide access to their networks, and exert their influence to achieve the goals of the organization.
Even as indicators reveal increased participation and integration of Latinos in all facets of U.S. entrepreneurial activity and the economy, the participation of Latinos on corporate boards, in leadership and executive roles, and in the finance industry continues to lag. In response to this issue, NAA programs are developed around its Economic Capital agenda which focuses on increasing access to capital markets and financing for Latino businesses, promoting the participation and influence of American Latinos on our nation's corporate and pension fund boards, expanding the participation and influence of American Latinos in federal and state financial institutions, and investing in the higher education of American Latinos in the fields of business and finance.
